Day 19 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

Day 19 still going!

Ok, so I finally went to sleep around 1 pm after being up all night and I have to say my sleep was pretty sound and peaceful. Which is great because before the cleanse my mind would be going a mile a minute (it still does sometimes :) ).   No sleep for me! I was always thinking about what I have to do etc and always on the go.  I was supposed to get up a little early tonight and make me a quart of juice but I was sleeping so good  I just didn't want to get up.  So, instead I decided to just make me some green tea to keep me wake tonight.   Working 3rd is a challenge and doing a juice cleanse while working 3rd shift can be the pits!   But the way I feel  is, it's all about the intentions that you make way before you even start your cleanse.  My intentions for this juice cleanse was all about healing and taking a much needed break.  Weight loss for me was just a side effect ( a very good one at that :-) ) but, it wasn’t my focal point.

When people ask me, " Is it healthy to do a juice cleanse for so long"?.. I say, " is it healthy to eat fast food? coffee? donuts? etc etc..  So, yes I feel it is healthy to juice cleanse for as long as you feel the need too and while healing your mind/body/spirit connection, if you really listen, you will know when you need to end it.

If you think about it like this, fruits & vegetables have all the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids (which are the build blocks for protein) that you body needs and helps to cleanse and rebuild.
