Day 29 of 60 BABY! YAY!

Day 29....

OMG first off Good Morning.. This was the beautiful view from my apartment balcony:

It was about 7:30am I think and the Full Moon was waiting for me to capture her beauty.  I love looking at the moon.  As for the past 3 years, I've been more and more fascinated with the moon.  It's just something that is so mysterious about it.  Sometimes I wonder if someone's up there looking back at me.. :)

Anyways.. on with juicing.  Today's juice will consist of the following:

Handful of Spinach
1 Green Apple
1/2 Beet Root

I can tell you this, I am finally really digging this cleanse on so many levels.

Until Later.. Time to head to outside :-)

Day 28 of 60 Juice Cleanse! Things are getting a little easier...

Day 28..

So, yesterday was a really good day.  For some reason, it felt like time finally slowed down for me that I didn't even realize it was Wednesday... I really thought it was already Thursday :)  Anywho moving along.  Yesterday I juiced the following:

1 Grapefruit
5 Carrots ( the last of my carrots need to get to the market!)
Spinach ( still have enough left for today) and this made about a quart of juice.

This was really good.  I am really loving carrots like crazy.. I think I'm more attracted to the color than anything.. After that I had my quart of green tea a little later. My craving come and go like waves but I think I'm getting control of them but I feel that I still need a better control of them.  When they come up, it's weird because they're like little kids throwing tantrums for attention.  I just say to myself "This will pass.."  If that doesn't I get up and do something, drink some vegetable juice, move around, read, write, listen to music, leave the house, text/talk on the phone, ignore it..etc

Eventually, it goes away.. That tells me that I really wasn't hungry, just craving and what I was craving is really nothing you know..

Until Later :) Have a great day!

Day 27 of 60 Juice Cleanse .. Why am I still awake?

So, I have been awake since 8pm yesterday.. I'm thinking 2 quarts of green tea is something I may not do again..but it was so good and refreshing! Gotta love green tea :-)  I have so much energy that I just don't want to sleep, but I am.. Today I juiced the following:

1/2 Beet
1 Pink Grapefruit
Ginger
1 Garlic Clove
1 Handful of Spinach
4 Carrots

This was pretty tasty.. Kinda thick tho, I had to add a little water to it, but surprisingly not bitter from the grapefruit.  My detox symptoms and food craving have finally left again! Thank goodness..

Until Later! Happy Juicing :)

Day 26 of 60 Juice Cleanse

Nov 26, 2012:

Today's Juice was:

1/4 Beet Root
5 Carrots
1 Green Apple
2 Handfuls of Spinach
3 Garlic Cloves and Ginger Root

This is what I needed.  I felt so much better after drinking this.  Very refreshed and energetic! My sleep is back sound again and the detox symptoms have died down some, so I’m thinking I need to do more spinach.  My body likes it so I need to listen.  Also, I drink a quart of green tea at work.. more like 2 quarts but that's it.. I really like green tea.  I take 5 teg bags and then hot water to it and then let it sit for about 10 mins.  After that, I add a few ice cubes and that's that.. Yummy green tea to give me some energy for 3rd shift :)

Also, I removed that cactus plant from my apartment.. Good move.. :)

Until later ...

Day 24 & 25 of 60 Juice Cleanse... UMMMM

Ok, so yesterday was a sleepy dream...  I am sleeping way too much IMO so I started thinking about my apartment and the colors that I have it in.  My friend came over my house yesterday of course he went straight to the fridge lol and was like, " Hey, where's the food??".. I was like, " ughhh fruits and vegetables are food!"  I'm juice cleansing duh! lol So anyways as the day went by I notice that he said something that kinda stuck with me today and that was.. "Wow, you have a very comfortable apartment, I just wanna sleep all day".. I thought about that today when I woke up and said, hey I do have too much of the color brown in my apartment? Brown sofa, beige carpet, brown table and chairs! Geez….over kill! With cleansing and an over comfortable apartment, no wonder I'm so damn sleepy all the time! LOL time to get some more colors!

I’m a firm believer in colors and how they affect the moods.

So I was browsing the web looking for information on the color brown and this is what I found:

“Solid, reliable brown is the color of earth and is abundant in nature. Light brown implies genuineness while dark brown is similar to wood or leather. Brown can also be sad and wistful. ”
Sad and wistful can easy translate to tired and sleepy depending on the person..

Maybe I am sleeping so much because of the color scheme of my apt??  Time to brighten things!

This juice cleanse has really re-opened my mind back up to understanding the space around me and the way colors effect the mood.

On top of that I have a cactus plant. Now I really like my cactus plant but I have notice subtle changes when I place the cactus in different areas.  Also, I was doing some reading about having a cactus plant in the house and it’s a no-no according to Feng shui.  If you really look at the beautiful cactus plant, it’s design for protection and conservation. So, having it outside is a great idea but inside umm not so much. So, time to say good-bye!

Ok anyways.. Back to juicing :).. Since I loved the juice I made yesterday:

1 Grapefruit
6 Carrots
5 Celery Stalks
Ginger Root
(This time I added Garlic to the mix!) -> This makes 1 quart.  I'm at around 2 quarts of juice a day.  Some days just 1 quart.

I decided to drink this again!  And I also had my delicious quart of green tea and some water.  Some days I just want to end my cleanse now but my goal is 60 days so I’m still in!

Until Later :) Have a great one!

Day 24 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

It's about 4:03am.. Yesterday was a very tiring day.  I was extremely tired so after work I stayed up for a few hours and just slept.. and slept some more.. phones calls came in and I just slept.. geez! but I decided hey, I think my body needs this so I will just allow myself to rest.

Since I am awake this is today's juice:

1 Grapefruit
6 Carrots
5 Celery Stalks
Ginger Root

This is so good!

Today I feel so much more rejuvenated than for the past few days.  I feel that I will make it to day 60. Some days are harder than others but I feel like I am doing a deep cleanse so a lot of "junk stuff" is coming u..

Until Later :)

Have a great day!

Day 22&23 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

Day 23..

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.. I didn't do much for that day.  Just hung out with my family and then went to work..  Today, I'm still having some detox symptoms which is crazy since I am on day 23 of my juice cleanse but oh well... I'm thinking that I may need to up my juice intake... humm it's a thought!  I'm still determine to complete my 60 days.

Today I juiced the following:

1 cucumber
4 celery stalks
1 green apple
1/2 beet
3 carrots
3 garlic cloves
1 inch ginger root

All I think about is food right now, I think I'm getting bored with it maybe.. :(

Until later

Day 20 & 21 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

Now we have arrived at DAY 20! OMG I am so very proud of myself to have made it thus far.  Let's see for starters, I don't think I will be drinking a quart of green tea ever again.. I am still a little shaky (lol)  green tea has never really kept me awake per se but I'm guessing that since I'm cleansing my body is very sensitive to anything that contains even the slightest amounts of caffeine. So, I will not be doing that much again.. But hey, you live, learn and keep it moving.  Day 20 was pretty good tho energy wise pretty steady but I kept craving pizza! OMG I so wanted to buy a large veggie pizza but I didn't because that would really defeat the purpose for this juice cleanse.  I mean, if I'm going to eat something it better be worth it!! Besides, pizza ain't going no where.. right ?? :)

I juiced the following for this day:

1 cucumber
2 green apples
4 carrots
4 celery stalks

This juice was so good and refreshing..

Then I decided to juice this: (sorry no picture)

5 carrots
2 green apples.. ugh.. not such a good idea.. :( Well, if you have a major sweet tooth you might enjoy this but for me not so much.  I needed to add some spinach to the mix!

One thing I have notice is that natural sugar is really sweet.   It makes me think, "Do I really like sugar?"... humm

Day 21

Ok so, I got off work this morning and went strait to sleep and was completely wiped out!  I slept all day.  I didn't even juice today but I did get a pineapple and some more spinach.  I'm really loving spinach in all my juice recipes so it's becoming my staple item.  Spinach, Green Apples, Carrots and Cucumbers.  These 4 fruit and vegetables are must haves for me!  Oh wait, also Beets but not alot.  It's like when you put 1/2 or even 1/4 of a beet into your juice it completely takes over, like it's in charge!  Also, I'm loving garlic and ginger root.  Something about this combination makes my juice spicy! yummy~

Side note: I absolutely love cucumbers.. they are so delicious! :).... Also, why I am still craving pizza!! it's kinda annoying, just got away already!!

Well, this is all for now.. Day 22 coming up.. Still going strong!  You can do it too! Come join me!!!

Until Later :)

Day 19 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

Day 19 still going!

Ok, so I finally went to sleep around 1 pm after being up all night and I have to say my sleep was pretty sound and peaceful. Which is great because before the cleanse my mind would be going a mile a minute (it still does sometimes :) ).   No sleep for me! I was always thinking about what I have to do etc and always on the go.  I was supposed to get up a little early tonight and make me a quart of juice but I was sleeping so good  I just didn't want to get up.  So, instead I decided to just make me some green tea to keep me wake tonight.   Working 3rd is a challenge and doing a juice cleanse while working 3rd shift can be the pits!   But the way I feel  is, it's all about the intentions that you make way before you even start your cleanse.  My intentions for this juice cleanse was all about healing and taking a much needed break.  Weight loss for me was just a side effect ( a very good one at that :-) ) but, it wasn’t my focal point.

When people ask me, " Is it healthy to do a juice cleanse for so long"?.. I say, " is it healthy to eat fast food? coffee? donuts? etc etc..  So, yes I feel it is healthy to juice cleanse for as long as you feel the need too and while healing your mind/body/spirit connection, if you really listen, you will know when you need to end it.

If you think about it like this, fruits & vegetables have all the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids (which are the build blocks for protein) that you body needs and helps to cleanse and rebuild.

Here is just a small list of Fruits and Vegetables that are high in amino acids:

·         Some food garnishes such as Mint, Garlic, Ginger and Almonds also contain high percentages of amino acids. (Isn't this amazing! I think so)

and here is a small list of Fruits and Vegetables that are high in Antioxidants

Day 19 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

I feel like I'm going through an even deeper detox/cleanse than before. Just walked in the house and this time I decided to juice as soon as I got in the house, and that's what I did..

Today's Juice Recipe is:

Simply Delicious

1/2 Beet with tops
1 Green Apple
4 Carrots
4 Celery Stalks
2 Handfuls of Spinach
Parsley
3 Garlic Cloves

This was absolutely delicious and it's what I needed.

Day 18 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

I remember when I had done a water fast about 2 years ago, I came across a very interesting article about the "Detoxification Stages".  I found the article again on the following site:http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=265174, and it was quoted from a book called:"Detox Stages" by Tom McGregor called "Fasting to Freedom".

I hope that this helps you understand what your body is going through while your cleansing.  Granted, you may experience some, none or all of these symptoms at different stages, but I think it's a very accurate blueprint.

Detoxification Stages...

Stage 1 (Days 1-2)

On the first day blood sugar level drops below 70 mg/dl. To restore the blood to the normal glucose level, liver glycogen is converted to glucose and released into the blood. This reserve is enough for half a day. The body then reduces the basal metabolic rate (BMR). The rate of internal chemical activity in resting tissue is lowered to conserve energy. The heart slows and blood pressure is reduced. Glycogen is pulled from the muscle causing some weakness. The first wave of cleansing is usually the worst.

Headaches, dizziness, nausea, bad breath, glazed eyes and a heavily coated tongue are signs of the first stage of cleansing. Hunger can be the most intense in this period unless the enema is used which quickly assists the body into the fasting state by ending digestion in the colon.

Stage 2 (Days 3-7)

Fats composed of transformed fatty acids are broken down and converted to glucose. The skin may become oily as rancid oils are purged from the body. People with problem-free skin may have a few days of pimples or even boils. A pallid complexion is also a sign of waste in the blood. Ketones are formed by the incomplete oxidation of fats. It is suspected that the ketones in the blood suppress the appetite by affecting the food-satiety center in the hypothalamus. You may feel hungry for the first few days of the fast. This effect is temporary. The desire to eat will disappear. Lack of hunger may last 40 to 60 days, depending on whether you are on water or juice.

The body embraces the fast and the digestive system is able to take a much-needed rest, focusing all of its energies on cleansing and healing. White blood cell and immune system activity increases. You may feel pain in your lungs. The cleansing organs and the lungs are in the process of being repaired. Periodically, the lymphatic system expels mucoid matter through the nose or throat. The volume excreted of this yellow-colored mucus can be shocking. The sinuses go through periods of being clogged, then will totally clear. The breath is still foul and the tongue coated. Within the intestine, the colon is being repaired and impacted feces on the intestinal wall start to loosen.

Stage 3 (Days 8-15)

On the latter part of an extended fast, you can experience enhanced energy, clear-mindedness and feel better than you have felt since childhood. On the downside, old injuries may become irritated and painful. This is a result of the body’s increased ability to heal during fasting. If you had broken your arm 10 years before, there is scar tissue around the break. At the time of the break, the body’s ability to heal was directly related to lifestyle. If you lived on a junk-food diet, the body’s natural healing ability was compromised.

During fasting, the body’s healing process is at optimum efficiency. As the body scours for dead or damaged tissue, the lymphocytes enter the older, damaged tissue secreting substances to dissolve the damaged cells. These substances irritate the nerves in the surrounding region and cause a reoccurrence of aches from previously injured areas that may have disappeared years earlier. The pain is good as the body is completing the healing process. The muscles may become tight and sore due to toxin irritation. The legs can be the worst affected, as toxins accumulate in the legs. Cankers are common in this stage due to the excessive bacteria in the mouth. Daily gargling with salt and water will prevent or heal cankers.

Stage 4 (Days 16-30)

The body is completely adapted to the fasting process. There is more energy and clarity of mind. Cleansing periods can be short with many days of feeling good in between. There are days when the tongue is pink and the breath is fresh. The healing work of the organs is being completed. After the detoxification mechanisms have removed the causative agent or render it harmless, the body works at maximum capacity in tissue proliferation to replace damaged tissue. While a short fast will reduce the symptoms, a longer fast can completely heal. Homeostatic balance is at optimum levels. The lymphatic system is clean except for a rare discharge of mucus through the nose or throat. After day 20, the mind is affected. Heightened clarity and emotional balance are felt at this time. Memory and concentration improve.

Stage 5 (Breaking the Fast)

The sticky, toxic, mucoid coating on the intestinal wall is loose, and the first meal frees it from the intestinal wall. Toxins enter the blood through the colon. The gallbladder dumps its waste in a heavy discharge of bile. This can cause an instant bowel movement upon eating followed by intense diarrhea. If the symptoms are too uncomfortable, an enema will help.

As for myself, I'm currently at Stage 3 slowly graduating to Stage 4.  I really can feel like my body is doing some repairing.  :)

Until later..

Day 17 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

I made it!  I can't believe that I made it to day 17!! Yay for me...  Well, how do I feel??? Pretty good but at the same time very tried.  I haven't really craved any food lately which is good so I'm guessing my body has adapted to not having solid foods and that the juice is giving my body what it needs.  I am very optimistic that I will make it to day 60.  The first 10 days was really rough.  My craving wore through the roof but I managed to make it through the storm, but I feel like I'm about to go through another major detox. One thing tho, I'm starting not to like kale leaves, they're just too bitter for my taste bids so,  I'm just going to stick with spinach.

Today.. well, I didn't drink any juice today :( I did have some green tea and I think that was about it.

Yesterday's juice was the following:

2 Green Apples
1/2 Cucumber
2 Kale Leaves
5 Carrots
4 Celery Stalks
3 Garlic Cloves
Ginger

It was pretty good.  I'm really starting to love garlic and ginger, I think I am going to continue to put that combination in all of my juices. :)

Until later....

Day 14 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

YES!  I am on Day 14 of my 60 Day Juice cleanse and I feel so good!  Now yesterday was a good day.. I juiced the following:

4 Carrots
A lot of Spinach
2 small chucks of ginger
1/2 Cucumber
3 Garlic Cloves
1/3 Pineapple
2 Green Apples
Small handful of Parsley
4 Celery Stalks

So this combine really worked!  Later that day I juiced a 1/2 Pink Grapefruit, 2 Green Apples and some spinach (and garlic of course!) it was ok, the grapefruit was pretty tart!  Other than that, for some reason I don't miss food.  It's weird.. like I just don't wanna eat.. I just want to keep juicing!

Finally going to the gym today.  I haven't been in about 2 months and that's pretty rare for me, so I'm thinking it was a much needed break.  The first 11 days of this cleanse has been so hard! so draining! and yet so powerful! so uplifting! so amazing! and I still have more to come.  I know that this is my first milestone and I know I'm chipping away at some pinned up emotions and pain that needs to be dealt with and let go of!..

Until later :-)

Day 12 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

Nov 12, 2012 Day 12 of 60 Juice Cleanse

Ok, so here is a recap of today:

I got home around 8:30 am and just had the urged to juice but, before that I had to go to the store to get some more green apples. I mentioned before that I had bought a big bag of spinach and celery from the market on Saturday because I was running low.  As of today I have the following fruits and vegetables left:

- Celery
- Beets
- Carrots
- Parsley
- Spinach
- Pineapples
- Green Apples
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Kale
- Red Cabbage
- Grapefruit

So as I was browsing the net looking for different fruit and vegetable combinations to create with the items that I have left, I came up with two absolutely delicious juices for today:

Radiant Glow

1/2 Handful of Parsley
2 Handfuls of Spinach
3 Carrots
2 Green Apples

I was blown away by how good this tasted and how it made me feel.  My energy level sky-rocketed so much that I was unable to go to sleep.. lol

The next one was:

Spicy Delight

3 garlic cloves
2 green apples
1/2 pineapple
2 Handfuls of Spinach
2 thin sliced ginger root
1/2 Handful Parsley
4 carrots
3 celery stalks
1/4 beet

Now this one not only taste good but it smelled so good! It was just simply amazing!  I think the combination of ginger and garlic gave it a lot of kick!

Today is the first day since my cleanse start that I feel fantastic!   Words cannot explain the energy that I have and the mental clarity it’s just something else.  For me it took about 11 days to feel this good.  11 days to get all of the coffee out of my system but I’m not done yet!

Until Later :)  Enjoy and have a great one!

Day 12 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

It's 5:15 am and I feel like blogging..

As I am sitting here at my desk editing day 10 of my juice cleanse video, I noticed that I looked extremely exhausted in the video, but on the inside I felt pretty good.  Why is that?  Is it because I feel the cleanse working its way into every single cell of my body and I could really careless about what I look like on the outside?  Ugh.. Nope!  Believe me I truly care about what I feel/look like on both the inside/outside so I think it's this:

As the cleanse deepens, the body is resting, breaking down and repairing itself.  Since it doesn't have to break down solid foods it can take what it needs from the liquefied juices, send it to where it is needed and then let go of the rest.  That's what I think...

Other things I have noticed are:

 - Clearer thoughts.  My mind seems to have calmed down from all the indecisiveness that I have been prone too this year.

- Patience.  I think I mention this before but Ima say it again.. Patience!  it's not a race.

Sometimes, I think when you slow down and really look around and admire what is around you, things actually speak to you.  Now, I'm not talking about words, I'm talking more about how things make you feel.  When you really take the time to really listen silently, any and everything you want will come to you triple fold.

Ok.. I think I'm done for now :-)

Until later..

Day 11 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

Sun Nov 11, 2012

Today is Day 11 of my Juice Cleanse and right now at 11:11pm I am so tired.  When I got off work yesterday morning I came home and made a green juice that consisted of the following:

½ Cucumber

¼ Beet with Green Tops

A bunch of Spinach (and I mean a bunch)

4 Carrots

4 Celery Stalks

2 Garlic Cloves

Now surprisingly this juice was actually very good.  I could have maybe added an apple to the mix but other than that, I was very satisfied with this juice.  After drinking this I felt the strangest thing in  my body, it felt like my body was saying “Thank you”.  I could actually “feel” the nutrients moving throughout my entire body and then I got sleepy, but didn’t go to sleep right away like I would normally do.  I stayed up for a while, truly relaxed and then I went to sleep a little later.  The 5 hours of sleep I got today was the deepest sleep I have had in months, so sound and so peaceful.

Yesterday was a different story.  I was very fatigue and moving slower than normal but for some reason I  just wasn’t in a rush anymore.  Something as simple as going to the market took a lot of energy out of me but I was glad that I went. So, walking around the market my whole goal was to get spinach, celery and leave but I went with a friend of mines and he wanted to show me all this delicious food(Vegan and non-vegan everything!) .. OH Goodness‼!  It smelled sooo good but I said to myself, “This cleanse is needed and is only temporary, that food isn’t going anywhere, it will be there today and it was will be when my body is truly ready for it”.  And I just went over to the side and waited.

One thing I forgot to mention was that I also got some tomatoes.  I will never do that again! I didn’t know how acidic tomatoes were for me and it caused my acid reflux to flare up tremendously.  It was the worst feeling ever.  I made me some ginger tea and I was able to get it under control, but now I know that my body cannot tolerate tomatoes.

Some of the lessons I have learned so far are:

1. Patience with myself and others, because moving fast, complaining and being angry takes way too much energy. :)

2. Learning to live, let live and keep it moving..

3. There is nothing wrong with eating junk but remember, you are what you eat so you make the choice.

4. Eating is truly about nutrition, energy and feeling good it's not a race!

5. I was glad I went to the market because when my cleanse is over I know where I am shopping going forward… :)

That’s all for now.. Still looking forward to completing my goal!

Day 9 of my 60 day Juice Cleanse

Day 9 (I wrote this on Nov 9,2012)

So today I juiced the following:

1 cucumber
4 carrots
Spinach
Parsley
2 green apples
1/2 pineapple
1 garlic clove..

I know all this sounds good ( ;-) ).. but.. it was WAY TOO SWEET!! YUCK :(  I was so hurt :( but it taught me a lesson.  I should had just stuck with either the apples or the pineapple (not both).  I think the pineapple was way too sweet for the juice, it kind of took over the juice so next time I will juice the pineapple with something else or maybe with just the spinach and carrots.  Other than that, I feel a little better, still kind of sluggish maybe I have a lot of detoxing is going on, I'm thinking.

I couldn't finish typing this post because I was so tired so I went to sleep at 2p and woke up ay 2am.  Not really use to sleeping that long but it seems like it was needed.

Until later :)

Day 8 Nov 8, 2012

Day 8 of 60 Juice Cleanse..

I didn't realize that I haven't posted anything in 2 days!! Oops!

Well, so far the cleansing is going well.  Yesterday I felt like I couldn't keep going but then I thought about it and said to myself "Keep going".   I was so exhausted yesterday and my tooth ache came back but it went away a little later in the day.  So what I juiced yesterday was:

4 Celery Stalks
1/2 Cucumber
1/2 Pink Grapefruit
Bunch of Spinach
Ciltrano
1/2 Beet
Garlic Clove

Also, I finally ran out of carrots and had to go to the store to pick up a bag.  Tomorrow, I think I'm going to go to the market and get 2 big bags of spinach and I think I'm going to only use apples this time(for my fruit) and just focus on the vegetables (mainly carrots, spinach and beets).  This could always change :)

Have a great one and enjoy!

Day 5 of 60 day Juice Cleanse

So yesterday was Day 5 of my Juice cleanse. This is what I drank for my cleanse:

2 small green apples
Spinach
Parsley
Cilantro
2 Carrots
2 Garlic Cloves

Oh yeah and I add a pink grapefruit to the mix and it was soo good!  After that I said up for a few hours trying to upload my day 3-5 videos and YouTube, I was only able to upload one. :(

Well that's all I have for today.  Have a great one!

Day 4 of 60 Juice Cleanse

Day 4 of 60

No updates for yesterday (Sorry for the late post).  I had to work 11 hrs (due to Daylight Savings time) so when I got home all I did was drink some water and then slept all day until it was time to go back to work.

So far, the cleanse is going well.  I think I'm going through a heavy detox because I am so tired. So, that's a good thing.  One thing I noticed is that I will need up my juices from 1 quart to 2 quarts a day or at least a quart in a half.  Going to start that tomorrow.  Also, I will be uploading more youtube videos documenting my 60 day cleanse for everyone to see. Day 3 of 60 day Juice Cleanse

Day 3:

It's about 8:26am and I'm a little tired but it's not going to stop me from finishing my 60 days!

This is what I was be juicing today before heading to the market:

4 Carrots
1 Red Bell Pepper
1/2 Red Cabbage
2 Green Apples
1 Cucumber
4 Handfuls of Spinach
1 Handful of Cilantro

I decided to experiment today so not sure what it will taste like but I'm going to give it a try.

Until later!

Day 2 Doing ok so far so good...

Well today was pretty good but I know I'm going to have to start back working out so that I can release these toxins a little quicker.  I was supposed to go to the market but didn't happen so I might just wait until next week when I run out of veggies.

Here's a picture of today's fruits and veggies:

Beet tops
1/2 Beet
3 Celery Stalks
5 Carrots
2 Green Apples
Handful of Cilantro

It was pretty good.  I can feel something going on in my body so I know that the cleansing is starting!

Until later :-)

PS:  I wrote this yesterday but just getting around to posting :(

Day 1 – November 1, 2012:

Today I’m starting off a little late.  Had to run a few errands and also go to the store to get all my fruits and vegetables for this week.  My goal is to only spend about $40.00 - $50.00 a week so starting next week I’ll be at the market!  One thing I did notice that I never notice before was that buying when in season actually saves you money.  Total I spent $62.00 (At Whole Foods and Dave’s) and I got a lot of stuff so I was very happy about that.  So anyways this is what I had today:

Day 1: Green Lemonade Juice
1 green apple
3 handfuls spinach (about 1 1/2 cups)
6 to 8 kale leaves (about 2 cups)
1/2 cucumber
4 celery stalks
Juice of 1/2 lemon (stirred in at end)

I found this wonderful website called RebootYourLife here’s the link: http://www.jointhereboot.com/tag/juice/ they have some wonderful recipes on it that I’m going to try, plus I’m going to create my own as well!

Also, I have a few items that I will be adding to my juices through out the cleanse which includes:

Pure MSM powder
Buffered C-Complex
Superfood For Everyday Health
Psyllium Husks Powder

The reason I have choose to add these to my cleanse is because I have had these supplements for about 5 months and I have not even use them! (Soooo sad :-( ) So I decided to add them as well!

Enjoy!

Day 1 of Juice Cleanse

Good Morning All!

Today I'm starting my 60 day juice cleanse.  I've been feeling the need to cleanse for a very long time.  Normally, I fast from time to time (so fasting and cleansing is nothing new for me), sometimes just the weekend, maybe a week and the longest was 15 days on Master Cleanse a few years back and I usually to do partial fasts when I wouldn't eat in the day and just at night.  I'm very excited for this cleanse, because this time I have a different approach to it.  Mentally, I "know" that this needs to be done because it has been in the back of my mind for so long.

I remember doing a water fast about 2 years ago.  My goal was to do 20 days on water but that turned into 6 days because I was a flight attendant at the time and it was a greater challenge than thought but I was glad I made it to day 6 because I started having dreams about carrots!!

My goal is to post to this blog and my YouTube channel daily just to record my daily progress, thoughts, feelings etc on the many changes that I will be going through on this journey.

I hope you enjoy this and please feel free to comment, subscribe or just browse!

Until later!

:-)
