Day 54/55 of 60 Juice Cleanse ~ I'm ready for the next phase..

12.24.2012

Ok so yesterday I juiced the following:

6 Carrots, 4 Celery Stalks, 1 Cucumber, Garlic and Dandelion leaves.. and it was really good.  I believe that the garlic made it “pop” sorta speak.  I wanted to make sure that I didn’t let my dandelion leaves sit for too many days because I didn’t want them to go bad.  Going forward, I’m going to use dandelion leaves more but not as much as I did because they are a very powerful diuretic and the more I think about it, that would explain why I was so dehydrated :( so please take my advice and don’t get dandelion happy.. A little goes a long way :)

Here’s what I juiced:

Also, if you want to use MSM powder I would recommend not using it with dandelion do it separately.  For me it was just too much, but I do like MSM powder so I just use it alone.

12.25.2012

Yesterday was great.  Since I don’t celebrate Christmas I just did a lot of clutter busting!  I recently moved back to Cleveland from Dallas via Atlanta via Cleveland (lol a lot of via's right??)  so I still had stuff in boxes and that has to stop.  Everything needs a place and there is a place for everything.  So, I had about 5 boxes of stuff I needed to sort through and figure out what was in the boxes and do I really need it.  So most of the boxes had old “stuff” old bills, old cards, stuff that really didn’t serve a purpose for me now.  So, I just throw it away! Now, some of the cards I kept because they are nice and heartfelt, but everything else had to go!....Umm but then again I might go back and let those go as well.  When I looked at some of the dates and was like, “ Now why in the hell do I still have this bill.. from 2005..!” Now I have moved 3 times within that time frame, travelled the world for 6 years and in my box of stuff I had bills from 2005.. Shame on me!

The good thing about this clutter busting episode is that I had a chance to organize that area, put everything in its place and got my 5 boxes down to 3 main boxes which is wonderful for me..

Yay me!.... On to juicing..

Today this is what I juiced:

6 Carrots, 4 Celery, ½ Cucumber, ½ Pineapple and Garlic cloves (of course!).. and here it is:

I'm really loving pineapples even more!

Until later.. Enjoy :)

Still day 53 of 60 but I decided to make Pineapple Juice :)

Ok, so I'm sitting here listening to Korn, Bilal, Rihanna, Outkast, Kendrick Lamar, some other music on the list and just realized that I bought 2 pineapples today at the store.. Sooo guess what?? I want pineapple juice! Fresh pineapple juice that I made.. So, I decided to juice a pineapple..

Here's the before: "Hello pineapple your gonna be soo good ina few minutes..."

 Here's the after:

" Can't wait to drank this.."!
And here's what's in the juicer:

"Umm ummm.. speechless.."

OMG, this juice is soo good! and I'm going to eat the left over pineapple :) yummy yummy.. Just think, this Pineapple was only $2.50 and made 1 quart of fresh, homemade pineapple juice...You can't beat that..

Enjoy!

**** side note.. this would be soo good with Rum*** lol but I'm cleansing so no Rum for me .. :(

One more thing, you might have to add some water to the pineapple juice because it's pretty potent.. Ok, I'm done with the side notes :)

Day 53 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse

As this phase of my Juice Cleanse comes to an end, the next phase of my Vegan/Raw Journey begins.  This juice has been the most spiritual, emotional, renewing, rewarding, cleansing, challenging, obstacle unblocking, self-awakening and balancing journey that was needed, embraced and powerful.  Since I have been up since about 2am, which I still can’t understand why I keep getting up at 2am for the past 2 weeks, but I just get it, I don’t try to over-stand it too much, say a prayer, meditate, read, write, study, drink some water and just be.

Today marks Day 53 of my juice cleanse and it has definitely been pretty amazing.  I feel like I have not only drop physical weight, but also emotional baggage, disappointments and the like.  I have figured out what was causing my acid reflex and my digestive issues so now I can take the steps needed to continue with the healing process.

This cleanse has been the most powerful of all cleanses that I have done and I have done many.

So, today I'm probably just going to drink 2 quarts of Green tea.  I went down to the Asian plaza and got a big box of Organic Green Tea for 6 bucks!!! and I got 100 tea bags.. I am sooo happy about this..

Here's the one I bought:

Come and join me....

Until later :)

Day 48 of 60 ~ New Green Tea to try :) - Update

Ok I will be trying a new green tea called, “Imperial Grade Matcha Ceremonial Green Tea” by Teavana, the website is: www.teavana.com.  One of my co-workers know how much I love green tea and asked if I wanted to try this kind and I  was like ugggh of course I do! :)  I’m going to wait a few hours because I just drank a 2 quarts of tea and it was pretty potent!

Here is what the tea looks like:

As you can see this tea is pretty much on point and it cuts out the middle man (teabag) and goes straight to the leaves! Now, don't get me wrong the price tag is a little up there.  According to the site it costs $35 big bucks! but hey, if you can spend $5-$9 bucks a day on Starbucks, Dunknin' Donuts, Misc things or just plain nothing.. You can look at this tea as an investment in good health!  So, I'm in!

Also, I will give a review on this tea sometime later today..

Ok, so I finally opened the container and it remains me of Spirulina ( the look and smell ) so it's not leaves like I previously stated, it's powder form.  So this is what it looks like:

After mixing with warm water:

Until Later :) ~ Enjoy!

Day 47 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse... Can we say Green Tea!

Ok so now I'm just counting down the days til the end of my cleanse.  Yesterday was a pretty good day because I drank about 6 quarts of green tea!  I didn't even realize how much I had drank.. No wonder I was up all day long and only got about 4 hours of sleep before work lol..

So, yesterday's just was:

1 Green Apple
½ Cucumber
5 Celery Stalks
5 Carrots
Garlic Cloves
Dandelion Leaves
Spinach

It was pretty much what I had yesterday I just replaced the pear with a green apple ( my favorite!)

Enjoy!!

Day 46 of 60 Day Juice Cleanse ~ I see the finish line in sight!

Ok so I am pretty much adapted to this cleanse and I'm pretty happy about that.... but.. I'm ready for this to be over with!  (ok, I had to get that out.. let's continue..) This cleanse was very much needed so that's why I have continued to keep at it for so long.

Today is pretty much wonderful, no complaint at all... Just a tad bit sleeply but what cha gonna do?? Well, this is what I juiced today:

Dandelion leaves
Spinach
Garlic Cloves
5 Carrots
4 Celery Stalks
1 Pear

This is surprisingly very good and spicy even without the ginger, so I like that!  I decided that for the remaining 16 days of the cleanse I will start using dandelion leaves.  I did alot of research on them and I saw all the benefits of Dandelion leaves, here's a few listed below:

Some of the many benefits of Dandelion leaves:

1. High in Calcium
2. Rich in Iron
3. High in Antioxidants
4. The Ultimate Detox!
5. Tons of Minerals
6. 14% Protein
7. Good for Inflammation and so much more!
