Today is Day 11 of my Juice Cleanse and right now at 11:11pm
I am so tired. When I got off work
yesterday morning I came home and made a green juice that consisted of the
following:
½ Cucumber
¼ Beet with Green Tops
A bunch of Spinach (and I mean a bunch)
4 Carrots
4 Celery Stalks
2 Garlic Cloves
Now surprisingly this juice was actually very good. I could have maybe added an apple to the mix
but other than that, I was very satisfied with this juice. After drinking this I felt the strangest
thing in my body, it felt like my body
was saying “Thank you”. I could actually
“feel” the nutrients moving throughout my entire body and then I got sleepy,
but didn’t go to sleep right away like I would normally do. I stayed up for a while, truly relaxed and
then I went to sleep a little later. The
5 hours of sleep I got today was the deepest sleep I have had in months, so
sound and so peaceful.
Yesterday was a different story. I was very fatigue and moving slower than
normal but for some reason I just wasn’t
in a rush anymore. Something as simple
as going to the market took a lot of energy out of me but I was glad that I
went. So, walking around the market my whole goal was to get spinach, celery
and leave but I went with a friend of mines and he wanted to show me all this delicious
food(Vegan and non-vegan everything!) .. OH Goodness‼! It smelled sooo good but I said to myself, “This cleanse is needed and is only temporary, that
food isn’t going anywhere, it will be there today and it was will be when my
body is truly ready for it”.
And I just went over to the side and waited.
One thing I forgot to mention was that I also got some
tomatoes. I will never do that again! I
didn’t know how acidic tomatoes were for me and it caused my acid reflux to
flare up tremendously. It was the worst
feeling ever. I made me some ginger tea
and I was able to get it under control, but now I know that my body cannot
tolerate tomatoes.
Some of the lessons I have learned so far are:
1. Patience with myself and others, because moving fast,
complaining and being angry takes way too much energy. :)
2. Learning to live, let live and keep it moving..
3. There is nothing wrong with eating junk but remember, you
are what you eat so you make the choice.
4. Eating is truly about nutrition, energy and feeling good it's not a race!
5. I was glad I went to the market because when my cleanse
is over I know where I am shopping going forward… :)
That’s all for now.. Still looking forward to completing my
goal!
